Elohim seems to be the hot ticket right now. If you haven't heard her new tune with our homies Louis the Child "Love is Alive" you gotta get on dat. She's got this other ya knoww freaking charming original "Hallucinating" that's been on repeat in my headphones recently, and I was super stoked when Christofi sent over his version. If you're not too familiar with Christofi yet, you should start to get acquainted. He's steadily building a great catalogue of tunes that are legitimately unique from track to track. His recent "Temptation (feat. Ayer)" was a total feel good jam in much the same way as his version of "Hallucinating." I didn't think it was possible to make Elohim's original more upbeat and fun, but Christofi has found that lightning in a bottle. Pretty much all of Christofi's catalogue is great so I recommend checking all his tunes out on Spotify here. You can also download this remix for free here.
Feel Good
BIG Z - GALAXY (FEAT. HELEN TESS)
MusicCommentAnother feel-good track for y’all today! Since it’s Friday, why not? A newcomer to the BB pages today is Philadelphia-based feel-good house producer Big Z. Fans of Viceroy, Galantis, and Wave Racer will dig this guy. I'm really digging his production style. It makes me yearn for pool parties. Here’s his latest “Galaxy” which is a gloriously bouncy, uplifting track with perfectly fitting light and sweet vocals from Helen Tess (whose singing we heard back in October on this amazing SMLE track) that will have you tapping your foot and envisioning yourself dancing through space in no time!
SAVOIR ADORE - GIANTS (RYAN LOFTY REMIX)
Music, RemixCommentWhoop whoop! I've been waiting for this track from the homie Ryan Lofty to come out for a minute! Don't tell the label, but I got a little sneak peek a while back and I'm stoked to be able to share it with everybody. Ryan keeps it upbeat and feel-good on his rework of Savoir Adore's single "Giants" with some serious ear candy. Melodic arps, tropical stabs, energetic rhythm and groovy bass unite under the vocals giving us a super sweet summer jam! This one is so fun, I'm totally dancing around the office right now! You'll be able to download the whole remix pack including this remix next Friday 6/17. We'll update when a DL link is available. In the meantime you can catch Ryan spinning at the SLS in Vegas as well next Friday 6/17 with Borgore and Rezz more info here.
[PREMIERE] SAM FELDT - BEEN A WHILE
Music, Original Mix, PREMIERE1 CommentWhat a treat right here! Sam Feldt destroyed 2015 bringing his deep tropical sensibilities to incredible remixes of Years & Years, Avicii and Icona Pop, not to mention a fantastic original in "Drive You Home." Well now BB has the pleasure of premiering Sam's first original of 2016 "Been A While!" I love that Sam has continued to involve live instrumentation into his mixes and this record, much like his previous original release "Drive You Home," showcases the trumpet. "Been A While" has a very endearing personality to it, keeping things light with the guitar melody and subtle bass. This allows the track to be chill, but definitely not too serious as shown by the pitched up vocals and whistling. A feel good tune through and through, Sam has delivered a sense of comfort with this record once again stretching the boundaries of modern dance music. I truly feel this record has massive main stream cross over potential given its almost folk like resemblance and charming appeal. What a great way to pick up your day! Out tomorrow February 5th on Spinnin' Deep.
LANY - I DON'T CARE (FLOR REMIX)
Music, RemixCommentOk I was sent this Flor remix before it came out and I'm ashamed I'm just now getting around to supporting it. This track is such a feel good tune! Definitely a testament to LANY's catchy vocals and Flor's infectious lead chorus synth sound. I'm always intrigued when the sound design keeps me guessing how the hell did they get that sound? Regardless, Flor has taken LANY's slower more pensive track and made it perfectly upbeat with overdriven bass and jovial synth melodies. The guys are building quite a reputation with remixes of xylo's "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" and an incredible original in "Unsaid." I'm sold gonna be reppin' this track for a while.
FLOR - UNSAID (INSTANT KARMA REMIX)
Music, Original MixCommentThe vibrant ladies of LA via London's Instant Karma have put out an awesome feel good record with this remix of Flor's amazing tune "Unsaid." The vibes emanating from this upbeat tune have got me smiling like a kid at the zoo. The chorus features an asian/tropical like plucked melody that works perfectly with the acoustic guitar and vocals. This is the second song I've supported from the ladies, and I'm positive there's much more gold to come. Grab this free download here.
